About the Side Mission Markers The red pulsing dot is John's last officially-walked mile - the main mile counter is paused there during the trail-skip event. The orange dot shows his current real-world location on the upper PCT section he's hiking right now. The neon green line traces the miles he has walked in the side mission. Those miles will be invoiced to sponsors only after John returns and physically walks the skipped section to reconnect his journey.
