Application Time Arrives
November 12, I received my application time to apply on November 13. I better set an alarm, so I don't miss my scheduled time. My calf still hurts and I am limping, but I was able to swim today.

Is My Hike Over?
November 11, I can barely walk...Is my hike over before I even apply for a permit.
Candy Mountain and a Pop
November 10, I did a nice hike up Candy Mountain but felt a pop in my calf just as I returned home hopefully no big deal.
Registering for a Chance
October 22, I registered for chance to apply for a permit. This is getting real; I haven't told anyone as there is no guarantee that I will get a permit for thru hiking.
A Dream Decades in the Making
I have thought about walking the Pacific Crest Trail since the early '80's when a couple friends invited me to join them on the hike but I was focused on school and work and didn't go.
